"Precede, my lady." Christophe said kindly, sweeping his arm towards the dark hall.
"Thank you." I said shakily.
I stepped through the door and into the dark hall. Blindly, I put my hands out as I stumbled forward. Just as I fell, a cold hand grabbed mine and yanked me back to my feet quickly.
"Watch your step." My neighbor's voice grumbled from ahead of me.
"I can't see..." I said nervously.
"Of course you can't."
I was silent, not knowing how to reply to that.
"Well?" he asked.
"What?"
"Are you going to take my hand so I can lead you through, or are you just going to stand there like a dumbass?" he asked coldly.
I immediately reached for his clammy hand and found it, grabbing it and allowing him to pull me along.
We were silent for a few moments, then I, calmly as I could, asked, "Excuse me...but why did you tell that man at the door that I was with you?"
"Aren't you with me?" He laughed.
I thought for a minute. I was with him. I didn't mean to be, but I was.
"I suppose."
"Then what's the problem?"
"There isn't one."
"As it should be."
We went the rest of the way in silence.

Okay guys, i need your help...theyre coming out of the hallway...this goes with the vamp peice i wrote earlier in here...so yea theyre coming out of the hall and theyre gonna be surrounded by vamps...any ideas? please?
